A 90-minute wine tasting at Quinta de Santa Cristina in Braga pairs four distinct Vinho Verde wines with a guided tour of the vineyards and winery floor. You walk through the grape varieties planted around the estate, watch the reception, bottling and labelling areas in operation, then taste the wines alongside a regional products board. A local guide leads the whole experience in English or Portuguese. Children can join with juice and cookies instead.

The experience

Start in the vineyards surrounding the winery, where the guide walks you through the different grape varieties Quinta de Santa Cristina plants and explains what makes each one matter to the final wine. Then move into the winery itself to see the full process: grapes arriving, the equipment that handles them, the bottling line, the labelling. It is not a film or a diagram. You are standing in the actual spaces where the work happens.

Children get three different juices and cookies instead of wine. The whole thing runs 90 minutes, which leaves time to walk through the wine shop before you leave: Quinta de Santa Cristina wines, local accessories and regional products are there if you want to take something home.

A local guide in English or Portuguese leads the experience. Parking is free. The site is wheelchair accessible and suitable for all fitness levels. Infants can stay in a pram or stroller, and service animals are welcome.
