The experience
You board a sailing yacht at the Lisbon waterfront and receive a safety briefing from the Captain and Host before the boat leaves the dock. The crew of two then guides you past the city's historical landmarks (the Monument to the Discoveries, Belém Tower, the 25th of April Bridge, Christ the King, Bairro Alto, Chiado, São Jorge Castle, Lisbon Cathedral, Alfama, Commerce Square and the National Pantheon) with personalized explanations of each site as you sail.
Halfway through the cruise, the crew serves a drink (Portuguese wine, beer, juice, iced tea, cola or water) and Portuguese typical appetizers (cheese and chouriço), so you can settle in and take in the views. The yacht itself is one of the best-quality vessels in the fleet, and the crew speaks English, French, Spanish or Portuguese depending on your preference.
The entire experience runs 2 hours from start to finish. Small children can ride in a stroller, and infants travel on an adult's lap. Public transport stops are nearby if you need them before or after.
