Porto Rosé Wine Tasting: 5 Wines in 11 Immersive Rooms
Taste five rosés while you plunge into a pink ball pool and pose in a Cadillac
The Pink Palace is a self-guided, immersive rosé wine experience in Porto featuring five tastings from Portugal and beyond, spread across eleven themed rooms designed for both education and entertainment. You move through the space at your own pace with a multilingual audio guide available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and three additional languages. Entry includes access to all rooms, interactive installations like the ball pool and vintage Cadillac, and informative displays on rosé history and production.
Step-by-step itinerary
Immersive Rosé Wine Experience
- Enter the Pink Palace
- Explore eleven colorful rooms
- Enjoy five unique Rosé tastings
- Play in giant pink ball pool
- Pose in vintage Cadillac
- Take photos at quirky corners
- Visit pink-themed Wild West saloon
The Experience
Five tastings anchor the experience—Mateus Rosé, Croft Pink Rosé Port, and three others sourced from Portugal and beyond—but the Pink Palace is built around the rooms themselves, not a lecture. You walk through eleven spaces, each one a different visual and sensory take on rosé: Provence-inspired rooms, California hill country, an authentic Wild West saloon painted pink. Between sips, the experience asks you to do things. You wade into a giant ball pool. You climb into a vintage Cadillac and strike a pose. You find photo moments at every corner. The audio guide narrates as you move, so you learn about rosé production, its history and the myths around it without standing still.
The whole thing runs one to two hours, and you set the pace. There is no group schedule, no guide waiting for stragglers, no fixed start time beyond your own arrival. Wheelchair access covers all areas and surfaces, and strollers work for infants and small children. The audio guide speaks eight languages, so language is not a barrier. Public transport reaches the venue, and if you need to ask about a specific wine or a room, staff are there—but the core of it is you, the rooms, and the five glasses in your hand.
