The experience

The day starts early at Rua Cândido dos Reis, where your guide meets the group. You travel by Mercedes van to Clérigos Tower first, where you can climb the baroque structure for panoramic views of Porto's historic core, or stay at ground level. The choice is yours. From there, the van takes you to the Cathedral at Terreiro da Sé, then through Bolhão Market on Rua Formosa, where local vendors sell produce and regional goods. The guide moves at a pace that lets you absorb each stop without rushing between them.

The tavern stop happens mid-morning: you taste one of Porto's iconic sandwiches paired with a local drink, sitting in a traditional setting rather than a tourist restaurant. After that comes the Douro River sailing experience. You board a premium sailboat departing from the heart of Porto and spend 1.5 hours on the water, watching the city's skyline and historic landmarks recede as you sail.
