The Experience

The sailboat leaves Douro Marina in Afurada and heads downriver toward the Arrábida Bridge, the first of six you'll pass under. From there the route moves into Porto's oldest quarter, where the Luís I Bridge rises above you—the iconic two-tier iron structure that dominates the skyline. The boat continues under the Infante D. Henrique Bridge, then Maria Pia, São João and finally Freixo before turning back to the marina. Two hours gives you time to move around the deck, use the suspended hammock for photos and watch the city and Vila Nova de Gaia shift as you drift downriver.
