A private boat charter departing Lagos marina lets you sail the Algarve Gold Coast around Ponta da Piedade's caves and geological formations, with a captain and guide who know the waters. The experience

The boat leaves Marina de Lagos, which has free parking and facilities, and passes the Municipal Market and historic center before you decide where to anchor. Most charters head straight to the beaches around Ponta da Piedade (Praia dos Estudantes, Dona Ana, Camilo and Porto de Mós), or to deserted anchorages you pick yourself. The captain has extensive sailing experience in these waters and can share local knowledge and fun facts if you want them. Dolphins and large schools of fish sometimes appear. You swim directly from the boat into water clear enough to snorkel, with masks, fins and life jackets provided for everyone.

The boat is your base for the hours you book. On deck there are mattresses at the stern and bow, sun shade in the cockpit, tables inside and outside, and hot freshwater showers. The interior holds a bathroom, bedroom, living room and full kitchen. You're responsible for using and cleaning them. Bring your own towels, sunscreen and a windbreaker. You can request a cooler with ice if you ask 24 hours ahead. Stand-up paddle boards and snorkeling equipment are included. Bottled water is provided. For longer charters (5 hours or more) the captain can take you to coves on the west side (Praia da Luz, Burgau, Rebolos, Salema) or east side (Lagoa de Alvor, Três Irmãos, João de Arens, Praia do Val). Full-day and night charters open access to Figueira, Furnas, Barranco and Sagres to the west, or Portimão, Ferragudo and Benagil to the east.

The person booking must bring an ID, and the charter starts immediately after you sign the contract. Any special requests go through WhatsApp to the captain. The guide speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and one additional language.
