The Experience

The air felt different as we rolled out from the cobbled square—just cool enough for a light jacket, with that salty breeze you only get near the Ria Formosa. Our guide, João, waved us over to Columbus Bar to kick things off. No kidding, their non-alcoholic cocktail was almost too pretty to drink—fresh mint, local citrus, and something floral I couldn’t quite place. The place buzzed quietly; you could hear the ice clinking behind the bar and soft jazz from a corner speaker.

We zipped through Faro’s old town on our Segways, gliding past Largo da Sé where the cathedral glowed under yellow street lamps.
