The Experience
You start at your hotel in Nazaré and ride south on an e-bike toward Fátima, covering roughly 53 kilometers across the Portuguese countryside. The electric motor handles the harder climbs, so the pace stays manageable even over a full day. A live guide travels with the group in English, Spanish, Portuguese or French, and can answer questions or help with any mechanical issues along the way. Bottled water is provided throughout.
The route connects two pilgrimage sites separated by centuries. Nazaré's sanctuary sits on a promontory above the sea, its origins reaching back to ancient times. Fátima's basilicas stand at Cova da Iria, where the 1917 apparitions occurred and drew pilgrims ever since. You visit both sanctuaries as part of the day, stopping at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, the Basilica of the Holy Trinity, and the Chapel of the Apparitions in Fátima.
After the ride and the visits, the group returns to Nazaré by car. The e-bike and helmet are provided, and all taxes and fees are included in the price.
