Diving in Cascais: Certified Dives Tailored to You
Dive the sites you choose, with a guide who knows the Portuguese coast
Double dive in Cascais is a scuba activity for certified divers exploring the underwater environment close to the coast, guided by Portuguese divers who tailor each dive to what you want to photograph, observe or experience. A briefing covers the site, the sea life and how to protect what you find there. The dive lasts 60 to 90 minutes in the water. If you're not certified, a supervised try dive lets you descend as a certified diver under permanent instructor supervision.

The experience
You arrive at Cascais with a free afternoon or a gap in your itinerary, and the coast is calling. Portugal Dive takes certified divers to the underwater sites close to shore that match what you actually want to do down there: swim around the rocks, photograph the fish, watch the sea creatures move through their habitat. The dive is not a fixed route. It's built around your interests. After a short briefing covering the site, the sea life, the rocks and the responsibility to leave everything untouched, you descend for 60 to 90 minutes in the ocean. The guide stays with you, reading the conditions and the moment, making sure the dive becomes what you came for.
All scuba equipment is provided. You bring your certification card. If you're not a certified diver, a try dive option puts you in the water as a certified diver would be, but with a diving instructor at your side the entire time, supervising every move. The guide speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese or French, and children from age 8 are welcome. Bottled water is included, and snorkelling equipment is available if the group wants to split time between diving and the surface.
