The experience
The activity begins with a short walk to the canyon, followed by a full briefing on the rope techniques and safety procedures you'll use for the next few hours. From there, you move into the core of the experience: rappelling down rock faces using fixed ropes, trekking through the canyon bed itself, jumping into pools where the water has carved deep basins, and sliding down natural water chutes worn smooth by years of flow. The guide leads throughout, managing the rope systems and pacing the group through each section.
You'll need to be comfortable with heights and water, but the activity is designed for all fitness levels. The team provides all the technical equipment (harnesses, ropes and protective gear), so you arrive ready to move. Bottled water and snacks keep you fueled through the 3.5 hours, and an air-conditioned vehicle picks you up from your hotel and brings you back, removing the need to arrange your own transport to the canyon trailhead.
