The experience
The day starts with a drive from Manila to Pagsanjan, where you board a traditional canoe and navigate upriver through towering limestone cliffs and dense greenery. The river narrows as you approach the falls, and the canoe passes directly through Devil's Cave: a low rock opening where the mist from the cascade hits you as you duck through. You'll have time to swim in the pool at the base of the falls before the return paddle downstream.
After the canoe ride, the tour moves to Hidden Valley Springs, a separate natural area with hot springs fed by underground sources. You can soak in the warm pools, walk the garden trails, and explore smaller cascades on the property. A buffet lunch is served here, giving you time to dry off and rest between the two main stops.
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included from central Manila areas: Makati, Taguig, Ermita, Malate, Muntinlupa and Pasay. Pickups outside these zones incur an extra charge. A live English-speaking guide accompanies the group throughout the day.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the canoe ride at Pagsanjan Falls actually like?
You ride in a traditional narrow canoe steered by a boatman, navigating upriver through a gorge lined with limestone walls and jungle vegetation. The main event is passing through Devil's Cave, a low rock opening where water sprays down as you duck through, then reaching the falls pool where you can swim.
How long do I spend in the water at each stop?
At Pagsanjan Falls, you have time to swim in the pool beneath the cascade after the canoe arrives. At Hidden Valley Springs, you can soak in the hot springs and explore the pools for several hours while the group rests and eats lunch.
Is the canoe ride difficult or dangerous?
The canoe ride is a standard tourist activity at Pagsanjan, but it does involve navigating moving water and ducking through a low cave opening. The tour is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health, and pregnant travelers should avoid it.
What does the buffet lunch include?
A buffet meal is served at Hidden Valley Springs as part of the tour, though the specific dishes are not detailed in advance. The lunch break gives you time to rest between the canoe ride and the hot springs portion of the day.
Does the tour leave early in the morning?
