The tour starts at Bambike HQ inside Casa Manila, where you fill out a waiver and pick your bike—the operator offers several designs, including their signature Ligtasin Cove beach cruiser and Victoria City models, so you can choose what feels right for the ride. From there you cycle through the streets of Intramuros, the walled city founded by the Spanish in 1571, stopping to learn the story behind each landmark as you go.

You'll pass the Japanese Cannon on Muralla Street and hear about the Japanese Occupation and World War II, explore one of the main gates and the defense strategy the Spanish built into the walls, and ride out to the walls themselves for a break. The route takes you through plazas tied to Chinese influence in Philippine history, past the Manila Cathedral at the heart of one public square, and into Fort Santiago—a stone fortress where you'll walk a bit to see spots significant to the country's past. San Agustin Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest church in the Philippines, closes the loop.

The whole thing runs 2.5 hours in small groups, so the pace stays manageable and the guide can actually talk to you. You get a helmet, sunscreen or rain ponchos if the weather turns, and a cold towel when you're done.
