The experience

This tour is designed for riders who know how to handle technical terrain. The route threads through El Nido's interior, not the coastal boat-tour circuit, starting with a warm-up ride along Bacuit Bay toward Caalan, then climbing into single-track trails surrounded by limestone and jungle. You'll conquer the Danat trail heading toward Villa Libertad, cross the Villa Paz riverbed with water flowing around you, and navigate the Maranlao shortcut, a steep mountain passage that cuts straight through to San Fernando. The pace is set by the terrain and your skill, not by a fixed schedule.

Stops break up the riding: Dewil Valley opens into 360-degree views of rice fields and rock formations. Ille Cave sits nearby for exploration. You'll pause at the east coast beaches for water and air, then eat lunch in Teneguiban before heading to Ligad to meet the local fishing community. The final stretch takes you toward cliffsides overlooking Duli beach, through Pasadena, and back to the Lakwa Motorcycles garage in Lio. If energy and light hold, you can ride down to Lio beach to watch the sunset. The whole day runs six to seven hours in the saddle.

You choose your bike at checkout: the Honda CRF150L comes standard with the tour, or upgrade to the CRF300L for an additional fee if it suits your size or preference. The operator recommends the larger bike for riders over 100kg or taller than 192cm. Either way, you get a full set of riding gear (MX helmet, knee and elbow pads, boots, goggles, gloves), fuel, an experienced guide who speaks English, Spanish, French or Filipino, and lunch. Guides are available for riders as young as 14.

Is this one for you?Choose the CRF300L if you weigh over 100kg or are taller than 192cm, as the larger bike handles those frames better on technical terrain. Otherwise, the standard CRF150L is built for this route. Riders need solid off-road experience to manage the single-track climbs, river crossings and steep mountain passages. This is not an introductory tour.
