The experience

The tour starts with pickup from your hotel in Miraflores, San Isidro or Barranco. You travel by private vehicle with a professional driver and certified guide (English or Spanish) through Lima's Historic Centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At night the colonial buildings (the Cathedral, Government Palace, City Hall, Bolivar Hotel and the main square) are all illuminated, which is when locals consider the center worth seeing. San Martin Square anchors the route, and you have time to stop and photograph the architecture.

The second half of the evening moves to the Magic Water Circuit, also called Parque de la Reserva. This park is built around fountains that play water, colored light and laser rays timed to music. The fountains change color continuously and the lasers move with the rhythm, so there is always something shifting on the water. You walk around the park at your own pace and can interact with the fountains if you want. The water is part of the design. Your guide and driver stay with you throughout, and the park entry is included.

The whole tour runs four hours from pickup to drop-off. Bottled water is provided. You choose your preferred departure time when you book, which lets you decide whether to start early in the evening or later. Because this is a private tour, the pace and stops are yours alone.
