The experience
The day starts with private pickup and heads straight to the water. You travel the Amazon to the confluence where black-water tributaries meet the main river, then visit a fish farm to see and interact with Paiche, one of the largest freshwater fish on earth. A lifevest is provided for safety throughout.
Dolphin observation comes next. You'll watch for pink and gray dolphins in their natural habitat as the boat moves through the river. After that, the tour takes you to a rescue center where you interact with monkeys and other animals the facility has taken in. The final stop is a walk to a giant tree and an overlook where you can take in the Amazon from above the water.
The entire route stays on the river or within immediate rainforest access, and all entrance tickets are covered in the price. You return by private transport at the end of the 9-hour day.
