The experience

El Valle de Antón sits inside an extinct volcano, and this ride takes you through its crater floor and up its slopes. You operate the UTV yourself through forest trails and past the botanical oddity of the Square Tree Trail, where trees grow with square-shaped trunks. The Shrine of the Golden Frog is a stop to observe native and endemic species typical of the region. Transportation and a guide in English or Spanish are included. Bottled water comes with the ride.

The centerpiece is Chorro Macho waterfall, reached by a walk through tropical forest that crosses a hanging bridge before you reach the cascade. From there the route climbs to Cerro La Cruz, a viewpoint overlooking the entire valley. The ride finishes at the craft market, where local artisans sell handmade souvenirs and you get a direct look at the region's culture without a tour-bus filter.
