The experience
What does it feel like to hover above water? You'll find out on an e-foil board: a motorized hydrofoil that lifts you off the surface as you accelerate. The instructor handles the safety briefing and gear setup, then guides you through the fundamentals: how to stand, how the board responds to your weight, how to steer. The board does the heavy lifting. You learn to ride it. Most people get the hang of it within the first hour, which leaves time to explore the fjord's quieter stretches and smaller islands.
The two-hour course (or one-hour option if you're short on time) keeps groups small enough that the instructor can watch your progress and adjust the lesson. You'll wear a helmet and life jacket throughout. The water temperature and weather vary by season, but the electric motor runs quietly year-round, so you're not fighting engine noise or fumes. Just the sound of the board cutting across the water. The fjord's natural backdrop stays the same: shorelines, islands, and open water that gives you room to practice without feeling crowded.
You need to be at least 16 and in moderate physical condition. The balance work and core engagement are real, but the board's lift takes most of the strain off your legs. Bring a swimsuit and towel. Everything else (board, motor, safety gear) is included. Public transport gets you to the departure point, so you don't need a car to reach the water.

Is this one for you?Choose the two-hour course if you want time to move past the basics and actually explore the fjord. The one-hour option works if you're fitting this into a tight schedule and want to try the skill without a long commitment. Minimum age is 16, and you'll need moderate fitness since balance and core strength matter here.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and French.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I do this if I've never been on a board before?
Yes. The course is designed for all skill levels, and the instructor teaches the basics from the start. Beginners typically spend the first session learning balance and control before moving into the fjord itself.
What's the difference between the two-hour and one-hour options?
The two-hour course gives you more time to practice and explore the fjord after you've learned the fundamentals. The one-hour option covers the essentials and a shorter ride, suited to travelers with limited time.
What happens if I fall in the water?
You're wearing a life jacket and helmet the whole time. The board floats, and the instructor stays nearby. Falling is part of learning, and the water is the safest place to practice. You'll get wet, but that's expected.
Is there a minimum fitness level required?
You should have at least moderate physical fitness. E-foiling uses your core and legs to balance, and you'll be standing and moving for the duration. The instructor can adjust the pace if you need breaks.
What's included in the rental, and what do I need to bring?
The board, electric motor, helmet, and life jacket are all provided. You'll need to bring a swimsuit and beach towel. Everything else for safety and riding is part of the course.
