The experience
The coach picks you up from Belfast city centre and drives 30 minutes to Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, where the entire series was filmed. Once inside, expert guides lead you through the sets exactly as they were left when production wrapped: the Great Hall of Winterfell with its stone walls and iron throne, Dragonstone's volcanic chambers, the throne room in King's Landing. You move at your own pace between rooms, stopping as long as you want at each one.
Original costumes worn by the show's characters hang behind glass. Props and weapons line the displays. Interactive exhibits let you try hands-on effects: green screen moments, prosthetics demonstrations, the mechanics behind the dragons. Storyboards and behind-the-scenes footage explain how each scene was built. A gift shop on site carries exclusive Game of Thrones merchandise you won't find elsewhere. The themed café serves food and drinks, and afternoon tea can be arranged in advance if you book it as an add-on.
The whole visit runs about three and a half hours from the moment you arrive at the studio. The coach waits to bring you back to Belfast at the scheduled return time: no need to arrange your own way back or worry about missing the departure. Families with children from age five are welcome. The site is fully wheelchair accessible, and strollers work throughout the building.
