The Experience

The tour starts at one of Belfast's oldest pubs, where Victorian decor—dark wood ceilings, leather booths, brass oil lamps—frames your first craft beer and a meal from the kitchen. From there you move into an independently owned bar that anchors the local arts and culture scene, then into the Cathedral Quarter to a craft beer co-operative that was among the first hospitality businesses to open there. The beers get fresher as you go: the co-operative pours some of the newest brews made in Belfast itself.

Your fourth stop is a bar that opened in 1885 and now runs its own on-site brewery. You'll taste a beer flight and eat again. The final leg takes you to a contemporary micro-brewery tucked on High Street, where you get a guided walk through the brewery itself before another flight of beer. Across all five stops, you taste 9 different local craft beers—some experimental—and eat handmade pizza from an open fire, Belfast's famous chicken wings with sweet potato fries, and a handmade pie.

A licensed tour guide in English leads the whole route and handles the beer education; you show up and move between bars while someone else knows the history and the brewers. The tour runs 4 hours total.
