The experience
The day starts with pickup at your hotel in Granada and a 25-minute 4x4 drive up to the top of Mombacho. At the summit sit two dormant craters wrapped in dense cloud forest, and the trails there let you walk through the rainforest on foot. You get views across Granada, Las Isletas, Laguna de Apoyo, and Lake Nicaragua from the established paths, and a biological center on-site provides context for what you're walking through.
After the hike, you transfer to the canopy station and spend the afternoon on the zipline course itself. The 17 platforms are strung through the jungle canopy on 11 steel cables and connected by one foot bridge, and you move from platform to platform under your own control. The guide leads the way and handles the technical side, but you're the one operating the equipment and choosing your pace along each route through the trees.
A transfer back to Granada wraps the day. Your guide speaks English or Spanish, and the operator includes all fees and taxes in the price. You'll arrange your own lunch or bring snacks, as meals are not part of the booking.
