The experience
This is a cruise ship day ticket only, so you'll need to be a passenger with a port call in Blenheim. The shuttle runs a fixed loop through Marlborough with stops at over 25 locations: wineries like Cloudy Bay, Spy Valley and St. Clair; breweries including Moa and The Cork & Keg; the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre with its collection of rare aircraft; Omaka Classic Cars with over 100 vintage vehicles; and cafes, restaurants and gift shops scattered through town and the surrounding vineyards. You get a map and timetable so you can plan which stops matter to you.
The freedom is the point: hop off at a winery for a tasting and lunch, stay two hours if you want, then board the next shuttle heading your direction. Some stops are a two-minute walk from Blenheim's town centre: Seymour Square with its historic clock tower, Blue Penguin for locally made gifts. Others sit deeper in the vineyards. You're not locked into a guide's schedule or a fixed group itinerary. You move at your own speed and choose your own stops. The driver provides information and the vehicle is air-conditioned, so the logistics are handled while you decide where to linger.
The loop runs for several hours, so you can cover as much or as little as your port time allows. Families travel together, couples can split up and meet at a stop, and solo travelers can hop between breweries or wineries without committing to a group pace. Children 12 and under travel on a child ticket.
What’s included
