The Experience

The morning started with me realizing I’d left my rain jacket behind — classic. Our guide, Jamie, just grinned and handed me a spare umbrella from the minibus stash. The drive out of Auckland felt like slipping out of the city’s grip; all those green hills rolling past, sheep everywhere, and someone in the back trying to count cows (they gave up).
