The Experience
If you have a free day in Marrakech and want to get out of the city without renting a car or arranging your own transport, this trip handles the logistics. Hotel pickup starts around 8 a.m., and the driver collects the group over about an hour before heading toward the Atlas. You'll stop for coffee in Ouled Khellouf roughly halfway through the drive, then continue for another 30 minutes to reach the waterfalls.
Once you arrive at Ouzoud, you walk through olive tree roads to reach the falls themselves. The trails are scenic and suitable for most fitness levels, and there's time to take photographs and explore the area. Macaque monkeys live in the region, and you'll see them moving through the trees. After the walk, you have lunch at one of the restaurants overlooking the waterfalls—your driver will recommend a spot. The meal and drinks are on your own tab, but the setting makes it worth the stop.
The return journey includes another coffee break in Tamlalte before you're dropped back at your hotel. If you want to add a boat ride on the water or hire a local guide to lead the hike, both are available to book on-site; they're not part of the base package.
