The experience

You arrive 15 minutes early to get comfortable with the quad and learn the basics from your guide. The ride itself covers forest trails marked in red and purple through the foothills of the Middle Atlas, passing a small traditional village about 5 km from the waterfalls. The route is built around the landscape rather than speed: every section opens onto a different view of the mountains and valleys. You'll spend most of the two hours in motion, with one planned stop by the river where you sit down for Moroccan tea and pancakes before heading back to the starting point.

The quad you ride is a CFMOTO 450cc, either as a single rider or with one adult passenger (children under 16 must ride as passengers with an adult). You get a helmet, mask and gloves for the whole ride. A professional guide leads the group and handles the route. The civil liability insurance covers the vehicle. The terrain is manageable for all fitness levels, though the ride is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health or pregnancy.

Is this one for you?Two hours is short enough to fit into an afternoon with other plans, but long enough to move through the forest and reach the waterfalls without rushing. If you have a full day, you can add time in Ouzoud village before or after the ride. If you're passing through, this fills a morning or late afternoon slot without eating into the rest of your itinerary.
