The experience

After a 30-minute drive to the trailhead, you mount the quad and ride into the forest stiers: the steep, forested slopes of the Atlas. The route is built around a stop at an ancient Amazigh village that has stood for 500 years, a working settlement where you can see how people have lived in this landscape for centuries. A professional guide leads the group and handles the navigation. You focus on the ride itself.

Each quad bike seats one rider and one passenger, so you can bring someone along for free or ride solo. The operator provides helmets, gloves, carlottes and masks for everyone. Liability insurance is included in the price. Children under 16 must ride as passengers with an adult pilot. The bikes are CFMOTO 450cc models, built for off-road terrain and stable enough for riders of any fitness level, though the activity is not recommended for people with spinal injuries or cardiovascular conditions.

Guides are live professionals fluent in English, French and Arabic, so language is not a barrier. The whole outing runs about an hour from start to finish. Service animals are welcome, and public transportation options exist near the meeting point if you need them.

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

Can I ride the quad if I've never done it before?

Yes. The guide leads the group and the terrain is manageable for riders of all fitness levels. You'll have a professional with you the whole time, and the route is designed to be ridden, not hiked.

What is the Amazigh village like when we stop there?

The village has existed for 500 years in the same location and is still inhabited. It's a real settlement, not a tourist site, so you see how people actually live in the Atlas foothills. The stop gives you a chance to step off the quad and walk around.

The whole outing is about an hour, including the 30-minute drive to the trailhead and the stop at the village. Most of that time is spent on the quad in the forest.
