The Experience

The entrance gate doesn't open until 9:30, and we were there at 9:15 with a group of kids already restless—but the staff waved us through anyway, which meant we had the place almost to ourselves for the first hour. Crocoparc sits about 20 minutes outside Agadir on the Atlantic side, and the moment you walk past that enormous crocodile head marking the entrance, the whole thing feels less like a typical zoo and more like you've stepped into someone's very ambitious forest project. There are over 300 Nile crocodiles here, scattered across pools and enclosures built into what looks like actual woodland, with native trees and plant varieties you won't see anywhere else on the coast.

The park's design is the thing that gets you—it doesn't feel constructed. The architecture blends the crocodile pools into the landscape so naturally that you're walking through what reads as a real habitat, not a concrete compound. You move between the botanic gardens and the crocodile viewing areas without any jarring transition, and the kids' play area is tucked in so it doesn't dominate the space.
