The experience
The Agadir Kasbah Ruins anchor the morning. Built in 1540, the fortress sits on a 240-meter cliff with a panoramic view across the city, port and ocean. From there the tour moves to the marina for photos, then into the old city center, the Ancienne Talborjt, where the 1960 earthquake left its mark on the urban landscape. The Great Mosque Mohammed V, the largest in the city, appears next. You photograph it from outside.
The Souk el Had is the largest market in Morocco, stretching across 13 hectares with roughly 2,000 retailers selling food and souvenirs. The tour includes a stop at the women's cooperative that produces argan oil for cooking and cosmetics, with a presentation of the products and how they're made. The whole route takes four hours in an air-conditioned vehicle, and your guide speaks English, French or German depending on the option you choose.
