Nevidio Canyon Canyoning: Rappel Waterfalls & Jump Pools
Rappel waterfalls and jump pools in a hidden canyon that stayed inaccessible for centuries.
Nevidio Canyon canyoning is a guided activity where you rappel waterfalls, jump into crystal-clear pools and navigate narrow rock passages using a wetsuit, helmet and harness. The 6-hour adventure near Niksic starts with a safety briefing at Poscenje Eco Selo, then moves into the canyon itself, where certified guides lead you through each obstacle and assist with proper technique. The canyon's name means "unseen" in Montenegrin, a reference to depths that were hidden until modern access made them reachable for adventure travelers.

The experience
Nevidio Canyon sits near Niksic in Montenegro and gets its name from centuries of inaccessibility. The depths were simply unknown. Today, certified guides with over 8 years of canyoning experience lead small groups through narrow rock walls, towering passages and a series of waterfalls. You'll rappel down each one, jump into the pools below, and slide down natural rock formations. The activity moves at a pace set by the group's ability, with guides positioned to assist you through the technical sections and teach proper rappelling and climbing technique as you go.
The morning starts at Poscenje Eco Selo, where you receive a safety briefing and get fitted with a wetsuit, helmet and harness. Guides speak English, Croatian or Serbian, and they carry the group's photos and videos throughout the day. The canyon itself demands moderate fitness (you're climbing, jumping and moving through water for the full duration), but the guides manage the difficulty so each person works at their own edge. Insurance is included in the price, and snorkelling equipment comes with the booking.
Two purchase options exist: the standard 4-hour canyoning adventure, or the same activity with lunch included afterward. Both follow the same route and use the same guides. The difference is whether you eat at the site or arrange a meal separately. Minimum age is 12, and the activity is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or cardiovascular conditions that limit strenuous exertion.
