The experience
The park splits into two routes, each built around a different kind of sensory challenge. One path takes you through water-based activities: you float in Riverlaxing, a salt river designed for buoyancy; slide down Tobogán into pools; get exfoliated in Sludgerie, a mud river; and rinse off under Rain and Xauna, where water jets and a waterfall cleanse your skin. The other path moves you through optical illusions, three-dimensional spaces and a village where the architecture itself plays tricks on how you perceive size and distance: the Way of Dwarfs and Giants, the Pinwheel, and Picture This all work by making your eyes unreliable.
The Xensatorium is the park's centerpiece: a space in total darkness where you navigate by sound, smell and touch alone. The operator guides you through different ecosystems (rainforest, desert, ocean) using only aromas, textures and ambient sound to signal where you are. It is the closest the park comes to teaching you how much your other senses can do when sight is gone. Other stops like the Underground Arteries Labyrinth, the Heartbeat, and Bird Flight layer in more perceptual games, each one designed to make you question what you think you know about how your body works.
The full circuit takes five to six hours. The park is wheelchair accessible, has restrooms, dressing rooms, lockers and showers on-site, and WiFi throughout. Guides speak English and Spanish. Children from age 5 can participate. Younger children can be brought in a stroller, though water activities will limit what they can do. Public transportation runs nearby if you don't have a rental car.
