The Experience

You arrive at Xcaret after a roundtrip bus pickup from your hotel and spend the day moving between water and land. The park sits in the Mayan jungle facing the Caribbean, with over 50 attractions built around the natural features: three underground rivers where you swim and snorkel with provided security bags, cenotes and natural seawater pools, a beach inlet, and jungle trails. Children's World has shallow cenotes and wading pools designed for younger swimmers. The day unfolds at your own pace—you choose which water activity to do first, how long to stay in each one, and when to move to the next.

Lunch is a buffet at a restaurant of your choice with one beer and unlimited soft drinks included. The Plus Area gives you access to lockers, walk-in closets and private bathrooms throughout the day, plus snorkeling equipment for the underground rivers. The park also celebrates Mexican culture and history with crafts, music and food stations scattered through the grounds. At night, you watch a Mexican show before the bus returns you to your hotel.

Bring a swimsuit, towel and change of clothes; water shoes are recommended for the river routes. The full day runs 12 hours from pickup to drop-off. Children's pricing is based on height: kids over 1.4 meters pay adult price, those between 1 meter and 1.4 meters pay child price, and children under 1 meter travel free if they don't occupy a seat. Infants under 4 need advance notice so transportation can be arranged.
