The Experience

The day starts with pickup between 4:20 and 4:50 am from your hotel or Airbnb in central Mexico City. After collecting all passengers, the drive heads straight to Teotihuacan. You'll check in by 5:30 am, present an official ID, and get assigned to your balloon. A coffee and snack break at 5:40 am gives you time to settle before the 5:50 am departure to the launch zone. By 6:00 am you'll watch the balloon inflate—a chance to photograph the setup before boarding.

The flight itself runs 30 to 40 minutes depending on weather, launching at 6:20 am and carrying you over the Teotihuacan Valley with views of the pyramids from above. Certified pilots and trained support staff handle the landing, which concludes by 7:20 am. You'll receive a traditional sparkling wine toast, your flight certificate, and a printed photo as a souvenir before returning to the launch point.

Breakfast follows at 8:00 am in the Gran Teocalli restaurant, the largest buffet in Teotihuacan, with more than 20 Mexican and international dishes. By 9:20 am you have the choice of a 1.5-hour or 2-hour self-guided exploration of the archaeological zone—enough time to walk the major sites and absorb the scale of this pre-Hispanic city.
