Sunset Cruise Cabo San Lucas: Mexican Fajitas & Open Bar
The live band and DJ keep the party going straight through the sunset.
A sunset dinner cruise departing Cabo San Lucas includes hotel pickup, a shopping and tequila-tasting stop in town, and an evening aboard the largest catamaran in the area. You board with a Mexican fajitas buffet already laid out, watch the sun drop behind El Arco and Land's End from the upper deck, and move between the live rock band and the DJ as the open bar runs until the boat returns to port.

The experience
The afternoon starts at your hotel, where a driver who speaks English and knows the area picks you up and takes you into Cabo San Lucas proper. Before the cruise departs, you'll have time to walk through the heart of town (the bars, restaurants and shops along the main strip), and stop for complimentary tequila tasting at one of the local spots. The Pearls Museum is on the route too if you want to look around. This part of the day gives you a feel for the town before you head to the boat.
The catamaran itself is the largest and best-equipped in Los Cabos, and you'll board with the Mexican fajitas buffet already set up. The upper deck is where you'll spend most of the evening: from there you can see El Arco, Land's End, the Sea Lion Colony, Lover's Beach, and the pirate's cave as the light changes. The timing is built around the sunset, so the view is the centerpiece whether you eat before or after the sun drops. A live rock band plays throughout, and the open bar keeps running (margaritas, beer, or whatever else you want) until the band finishes. Then a DJ takes over and keeps the energy up for the rest of the ride back to port.
The whole experience runs about six hours from pickup to drop-off. Wheelchair access is available throughout the boat and at the dock, and infants and small children are welcome. Specialized infant seats can be arranged if you need one.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (4 to 10 years); Infant (1 to 3 years).
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What exactly is El Arco and why do people come to see it from the water?
El Arco is the natural rock arch at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, and it's one of the most photographed landmarks in Cabo San Lucas. Viewing it from the upper deck of the catamaran at sunset is the main reason this cruise route exists: the angle and the light make it the centerpiece of the evening.
Is the tequila tasting included before the cruise, or do I pay extra for it?
The tequila tasting in town is included at no extra charge. It's part of the shopping and sightseeing stop in Cabo San Lucas before you board the boat.
Can I bring my own drinks on the cruise, or is it open bar only?
The cruise runs an open bar from the moment you board until the boat returns to port, so drinks are included. Outside alcohol is not mentioned in the tour details, so check with the operator before bringing your own.
