The experience
The class starts at La Chilangaloense Mezcaleria & Cevicheria, a beachfront restaurant where your guide walks you through making salsas and guacamole from fresh ingredients. You'll taste what you've made with tortilla chips and take the recipes home. Complimentary margaritas, Mexican beer and flavored waters keep the pace relaxed while you work.
Once the cooking wraps up, the guide teaches you salsa dancing on the beach itself. You'll follow step-by-step instructions in how to step, sway and move to the rhythm, no experience needed. The instruction is live and in English, so you hear the cues as you learn.
After the lessons end, the beach club is yours to use. The open bar runs for 2 hours total across the day, and you can swim, rest or explore the facilities. When you're ready to leave, you can return to your ship or stay at the beach club to extend your time there. Snorkeling equipment is available if you want to use it.
