This 3-hour off-road activity puts you behind the wheel of a high-performance RZR side-by-side in Puerto Vallarta, navigating city streets, river crossings, and Sierra Madre trails before a swim in a seasonal waterfall lagoon and tequila tasting at a mountain restaurant. You drive your own machine, not a utility vehicle, with a guide, helmet, goggles and bandana included. A valid driver's license and age 18+ are required to operate the RZR. Children ride as passengers with an accompanying adult.

The experience

You start in Puerto Vallarta itself, driving your own RZR through the charming streets before the terrain opens up. The route follows the Cuale River, where you'll cross riverbeds and tackle rugged jungle trails as the elevation climbs into the Sierra Madre Mountains. The machine handles what a standard utility vehicle cannot: power and suspension built for the terrain itself, not borrowed from a ranch truck. Panoramic views of Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay open up as you climb higher.

The waterfall lagoon stop depends on the season and rainfall levels, but when water flows, you get a chance to swim and cool off before heading to the mountain restaurant. Authentic Mexican food and a tequila tasting wrap up the ride. The whole outing runs three hours from start to finish. Helmets, goggles, and bandanas are provided. Bring cash for lunch and any tips you want to leave.

A live guide speaks English or Spanish and rides with your group. Children can join as passengers if an adult accepts responsibility for them, and specialized infant seats are available. You'll need a valid driver's license and must be 18 or older to operate the RZR. Travelers under 18 receive non-alcoholic drinks during the tequila tasting portion.
