The experience

You arrive at the meeting point and connect with your guide, then walk together toward the turtle camp. The path crosses through the estuary where you'll spot the animals that live there: birds, other wildlife moving through the mangrove habitat. The reserve itself is the setting. You're not on a boat tour or a distant observation, but moving through the actual landscape where the turtles live.

At the camp, a biologist leads an environmental education talk that explains the conservation work happening here: how the eggs are protected, how the incubation areas function, what threats the species faces.
