The Experience

Playa del Carmen's morning paddleboard groups run under Aloha Paddle Club's instruction, which means you show up, get fitted with a board and paddle, and spend two hours on the water with people at every level—first-timers and regulars in the same session. The guide stays with the group, so you're not alone figuring out balance or stroke; they keep the pace steady enough that you can actually look around instead of just concentrating on not falling in. What you do is paddle.
