The experience
The boat leaves from either Sayulita or La Cruz Marina depending on where you're staying: Sayulita, San Pancho, Punta de Mita, Bucerías or Nuevo Vallarta. After a safety briefing and equipment check, you descend for your first dive at a site chosen for the day's conditions. The Marietas Islands sit in one of Riviera Nayarit's richest marine zones, where volcanic rock formations and reef habitats hold rays, moray eels, tropical fish and turtles. You'll spend roughly 40 minutes underwater on each immersion, with time to rest and drink water aboard between dives.
The group stays under six divers, which means you get genuine attention from your guide instead of being one of a dozen faces in the water. Your professional dive guide speaks English or Spanish and leads both dives. All scuba equipment is provided (tank, regulator, BCD, weights and wetsuit), so you only bring yourself and your certification card. The whole outing runs about four hours from departure to return.
What’s included

- professional dive guide in English or Spanish.
