The experience

Barra de Potosi is a fishing village built around a saltwater lagoon where you paddle a kayak for an hour, watching birds and the local flora and fauna as you move across the water. After kayaking, you drive to Playa Larga Beach Ranch, where you mount a horse and ride along the sand for an hour. The beach ride is the second half of the day's two activities, and it comes after you've already been on the water.

A guide leads both the kayaking and the riding, and transportation from your hotel is included. Once the horseback riding ends, you stop at a restaurant on the beach for a seafood lunch before heading back. The whole outing takes 5 hours from pickup to return.
