Five adventure activities in one morning, then the food and craft that define Jerez

A 7-hour activity tour combining Cardos Adventure Park (where you do rappel, zip-line, kayak, suspension bridge and ATV rides) with a walking tour of Jerez's historic center, a meal of local burritos, a visit to a jeweler's workshop, and wine tasting at La Casona Wines. A Spanish-speaking guide leads the whole day. One ATV is shared per couple. All equipment for the park activities is provided.

Step-by-step itinerary

Adventure park and Jerez town tour

  • Experience adventure activities at Cardos Park
  • Taste unique burritos La Palma
  • Visit Jerez earring workshop
  • Tour historic center of Jerez
  • Wine tasting at La Casona Wines

The experience

If you have a free morning and afternoon in the region, this tour stacks the physical activities first and the town exploration after, so you move from high energy to slower pace. Cardos Adventure Park is where the day starts. You'll do rappel, zip-line, kayak, cross a suspension bridge, and ride a 4x4 ATV (one vehicle shared between two people). The park supplies all the gear you need for these activities. Once you're done, the guide takes you into the center of Jerez itself.

The town portion begins with the typical Jerez burrito, a dish locals say is unique to the area. Then you visit a workshop where jewelers make arracadas (the distinctive earrings that are emblematic of Jerez), and learn the process by hand. The final stop is La Casona Wines, where someone from the winery explains the history and process of the wines they make with local grapes and supplies, and you taste a selection. The whole day is guided in Spanish.

One detail to arrange: transportation between Cardos Adventure Park and the center of Jerez is not included in the tour price, though it's available separately for approximately 200 MXN. Public transportation options operate in the area if you want to handle that leg yourself.
