The experience
The route starts from your accommodation and moves through Ciudad Valles to the launch point for the canoe trip. Once you reach El Meco waterfall, the water activities begin. You jump from the rocks, dive into the pools and swim in the turquoise water that gives this stretch its name. The buoyancy vest stays with you throughout.
El Salto comes next, where the natural pools are larger and deeper. You spend time swimming and moving through the water here before heading back. The guide is local and speaks Spanish, and breakfast is provided early in the day. Photographs of the experience are taken and included.
The full 14 hours means pickup and return happen at your accommodation, with no separate transport to arrange. Infants ride on an adult's lap during the canoe sections. The activity requires at least moderate fitness and is not suitable for travelers with cardiovascular concerns.
