The Experience

“You want real tacos or tourist tacos?” our driver, Miguel, asked before we’d even left the hotel parking lot. I laughed because honestly, I didn’t know there was a difference—but he just grinned and said he’d show us both if we wanted. The van was cool inside (thank god for AC), and there were bottles of water and Coke already waiting. My partner grabbed a beer straight away; it just felt right with that sticky morning air.
