The experience

The tour moves through South Mauritius in a single loop, hitting the dormant Trou aux Cerfs Volcano first. You'll walk to the rim and see the temples nearby, and the operator notes proper outfit should be worn. Then you stop at Alexandra Falls viewpoint, move through to Black River Gorges National Park for the gorge views, and finish at Vallée Adventure Park, where ziplining, quad biking, a Nepalese bridge, colored earth and waterfall walks, and a kids corner all sit waiting. The ziplining and other activities there are not bundled into the tour price. You pay separately if you want to do them.

Transport is included: an air-conditioned vehicle picks you up and carries the group for the full seven hours. The guide speaks English or French depending on your option. Child seats are available if you're traveling with young children. Parking fees at each stop are covered. Entrance fees to Vallée Adventure Park apply if you choose to enter, and any activity fees there are separate again.

Group size shapes the experience: you can book for 2 people max, 3–4 persons, or 6–12 persons, and each option travels as its own group. The smaller groups move at their own pace through the same stops. The larger one does the same route with more people in the vehicle.
