The experience
The northern coast of Mauritius holds the island's highest concentration of beaches, and this tour strings four of them together in a single day. You're picked up from your hotel and driven in an air-conditioned vehicle to each one, with the driver waiting while you swim, snorkel or simply sit. The stops are Trou aux Biches, with its calm, shallow water and street food vendors; Mont Choisy, one of the longest beaches on the island, quieter on weekdays and backed by casuarina trees; La Cuvette, a hidden 80-meter cove near Grand Bay surrounded by rocky boulders; and Pereybere, the deepest and most popular among locals, with food stalls and restaurants in the town behind it.
The eight-hour day is yours to shape. Spend an hour at one beach and twenty minutes at another, or linger where the water feels right. Lunch comes from the street food stands and cafes at each stop: no restaurant booking required, and you eat what appeals to you. The guide speaks English or French and travels with you, answering questions about the beaches and the area without dictating the itinerary. Parking fees and all transport are included. You bring only what you need for the water.

What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between Mont Choisy and Pereybere beaches?
Mont Choisy is one of the island's longest beaches with shallow turquoise water and a backdrop of casuarina trees, popular with locals on weekends but quieter during the week. Pereybere, next to the resort town, has slightly deeper and very calm water, and is the most popular beach among Mauritians year-round, with food stalls and restaurants in the town.
Can I swim and snorkel at all four beaches?
All four beaches have calm water suitable for swimming. Trou aux Biches is specifically noted for good snorkelling conditions with its calm water and gently shelving sands. The other three are all swimmable. Snorkelling depends on your comfort level and the conditions on the day you visit.
How long do I spend at each beach?
You set the pace. The tour runs eight hours total with hotel pickup and drop-off included, so the time you spend at each of the four beaches is up to you. Stay longer at one and shorter at another depending on what appeals to you.
Where do I eat lunch?
Lunch comes from the street food stands and cafes at the beaches themselves. Trou aux Biches and Pereybere both have abundant food options along the shore and in the towns behind them, so you can eat what you want when you're hungry.
Is the minibus air-conditioned?
Yes, you travel in an air-conditioned and insured taxi or minibus between the four beaches, with the driver waiting at each stop while you swim and explore.
