A hot air balloon flight over Vilnius or Trakai lasts 3–4 hours total, with roughly an hour aloft in the basket listening to the pilot's commentary on the city or castle and lakes below. The experience includes hotel pickup and transfer to the launch site, a preflight briefing, a glass of sparkling wine after you land, and a flight certificate. A professional pilot and ground crew manage the whole operation.

The experience

The flight itself runs 45 minutes to just over an hour depending on wind and air traffic, but the full outing (from pickup at your hotel to return) takes 3 to 4 hours. You'll get a safety briefing at the launch area before boarding the basket, then rise to see either Vilnius Old Town spread below or Trakai Castle with its lakes and forests, depending on which route you choose. The pilot stays in the basket with you and explains what you're looking at as you drift.

After landing, the ground crew meets you, you receive a flight certificate, and everyone shares a glass of sparkling wine. Transport back to your hotel is included. Bottled water is provided during the outing. The operator accepts payment in cash, by card after the flight, or by bank transfer on the day itself.
