The experience

The day starts with pickup from your Vientiane hotel and a private minivan ride to Vang Vieng, about an hour away. Local lunch is included, and afterward you swim in the blue lagoon, a limestone pool surrounded by karst cliffs.

By evening you're on the water for sunset: choose between a kayak or a slow boat, both included. The town itself gets a walkabout so you see how locals live beyond the tourist stops. Everything loops back to your hotel in Vientiane by private minivan, ending around 10 to 11 hours after you left.
