The experience
You start with a short introduction to metal detecting tools and techniques, then move into hands-on training using professional detectors. The guide walks you through how to read terrain, interpret signals and handle equipment safely. After the briefing, you head into the desert for a real treasure hunt, searching for hidden objects and lost items while learning about the land itself. The whole experience runs two hours.
The equipment is shared: a metal detector, professional bag, pinpointer and sand scoop come with you into the field, along with a headlight for visibility and bottled water. You're not just swinging a detector. You're learning to spot patterns in the ground and understand what the machine is telling you. Families, solo travelers and adventure seekers all work through the same training, so the pace suits mixed groups.
This is Kuwait's first metal detecting training by the sea, built around real discovery rather than a simulated hunt. The cultural angle runs through it: you're connecting with history and the land while learning a skill. A safety briefing and field instructions come before you step into the desert, and the guide stays with you the whole time.
