A guided hiking tour in Sharr Mountain National Park starting from Prizren, climbing 12km to 2500m elevation with a picnic break on the summit. The route passes through alpine terrain where chamois, eagles and bears roam at safe distance, and ends with panoramic views across Kosovo, North Macedonia and Albania. A live guide leads in English, Turkish or Serbian. Pickup from Prizren and hiking poles are included. In winter, the same route is available with snowshoes or touring skis (equipment rental available at a discount).

The experience

The day starts with pickup in Prizren in the morning, then a drive to Sharr Mountain National Park. You'll begin hiking from around 1500m elevation and climb 12km to roughly 2500m, with the exact distance and pace adjusted to your fitness level. The trail passes through terrain where local wildlife (chamois, tortoises, foxes, eagles, bears) can be spotted from a safe distance, and the ascent is broken by a summit break where you'll rest and eat the picnic the operator provides.

The hike ends on one of Sharr's summits, where the views open across the mountains of Kosovo, North Macedonia and Albania. Hiking poles are provided for the summer route. In winter, you can choose the same trail with snowshoes or touring skis. If you don't have your own equipment, you can rent it from the operator at a discounted rate.
