The experience
The tour starts before dawn. Your driver-guide arrives at your hotel at 6:10 am for the drive to Nairobi National Park, which takes roughly 20 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. Once inside, the vehicle's game-viewing roof opens so you can stand and watch. The safari portion runs until 11 am, giving you time to spot lions, rhinos, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and over 200 bird species across the park's landscape.
At 11 am you leave the park and transfer to the Giraffe Center nearby. You spend about an hour there watching and interacting with the giraffes. You can touch, feed and even kiss them. This is the centerpiece of the morning: a close encounter most visitors come to Nairobi to have.
By 12:30 pm you're transferred to Galleria Mall for a 45-minute stop where you can grab lunch or browse craft shops, all at your own cost. The tour concludes by 2 pm when your driver returns you to your hotel or drops you at another location you choose. The whole experience runs roughly six hours from pickup to drop-off.
