By late afternoon you'll reach the reserve and settle into your chosen camp — the operator offers economy, comfort and luxury options, each with the same standard of safari experience once the game drives begin.

Day two is an unlimited game drive day. You'll rise early and head into the park while the light is still soft, when lions and leopards are most active and the herds move across the grasslands. The Masai Mara holds the densest wildlife population in the region: zebra, gazelle, giraffe, buffalo, elephant and rhino move through the distinctive acacia trees that dot the plains. If you're traveling between July and October, you'll witness the Great Migration — thousands of wildebeest and zebra crossing the Mara River in a single dramatic push toward fresh grazing, with hippos and crocodiles waiting in the water. An optional visit to a local Maasai village lets you see how the community lives on these same lands. Meals and rest happen back at camp.
