The Experience

Roppongi's Yoshimoto Comedy Night OWARAI strips away language entirely. The lineup rotates, but the format stays the same: performers use traditional Japanese costumes and props to build tricks and gags that land on sight alone. The show opens at 5pm, starts at 5:30pm, and runs roughly an hour. One drink comes with your ticket, and you pick any unreserved seat when you arrive.

The talent changes nightly. The roster includes international acts like Wes-P, a performer with 22 million followers who won France's Got Talent's Golden Buzzer. Because the comedy is entirely visual, it works for anyone, regardless of what language they speak. There's no setup, no explanation, just the performance itself. The venue streams parts of the show, so you may end up on camera. The operator flags this upfront.
